AIDsCUTs

Worldwide cuts to aid budgets, especially those for HIV/AIDS, are projected to cause millions of new HIV infections and deaths by 2030, potentially reversing decades of progress.

The cuts have already led to reduced testing and treatment in some countries. The most affected populations are likely to be in sub-Saharan Africa.

Archive images (2013) shot in a Kinshasa hospital where HIV/AIDS patients, including advanced cases, are treated. As a result of the ongoing cuts in aid budgets, it is highly likely more images like these will be seen in the coming years.
